**The Role**
The Workforce Australia Provider Support Division is responsible for the frontline delivery of Australian Government-funded employment and skills programs, as well as place-based strategies that help give employers access to skilled workers. The Division uses its unique position within each state and territory to gather intelligence that informs strategic, evidence-based responses to labour market needs and to advance government priorities. The Division has strong relationships with training and employment services providers, employers, and industry associations as well as strategic relationships with other Commonwealth, state, territory and local government agencies.
The department has a national network of state and territory offices. In Victoria, we have offices in Melbourne and Bendigo. The Bendigo office manages external service providers who deliver Employment programs throughout regional Victoria.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
**APS Level 5**
- Managing and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to collaboratively achieve the department's and the Government’s policy measures
- Managing Australian Government contracts with service providers who deliver employment or skills services to the Victorian community
- Researching and interpreting program guidelines and policies to provide advice and guidance to internal stakeholders and our contracted providers
- Monitoring and assessing provider performance and compliance through data analysis, file monitoring and site visits
- Drafting communications and briefs for managers, delegates and visiting executive
- Actively participating in planning, project management, decision-making and solution brokering
- Processing payments and employer incentives, maintaining data integrity and undertaking data analysis to assess provider performance
- Administrative assistance through mailbox management, research and communication with internal and external stakeholders promptly and professionally
**APS Level 6**
- Providing leadership as an individual within a team, including leading discussions and taking initiative with projects or issues.
- Managing and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to collaboratively achieve the department’s and the Government’s policy measures.
- Managing Australian Government contracts with service providers who deliver employment services to the community.
- Researching and interpreting program guidelines and policies to provide advice and guidance to internal stakeholders and our contracted providers.
- Monitoring and assessing provider performance and compliance through data analysis, file monitoring and site visits.
- Drafting compelling communications and briefs for managers, delegates and visiting executive.
- Actively participating in planning, project management, decision-making and solution brokering.
