Accounts Payable Officer

**About the role**:
West HQ is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and proactive individual to join our Finance Team as an Accounts Payable Officer. This role is a part-time position working between Monday to Friday, with flexible days and hours available.

This position is based within our friendly and helpful Finance Team, focusing on coordinating and processing of invoices in an efficient and timely manner.

**Tasks and responsibilities of the role include**:

- Full function of Accounts Payable processes - including administrating and using an online Purchase Ordering and Invoice Approval System
- Checking non-matching orders and invoices (pricing, coding, limits, authority, validity, etc)
- Communicating with suppliers and responding to queries
- Follow up queries direct with suppliers and employees
- Reconciliation of corporate credit cards and reimbursements
- Maintenance and reconciliation of the AP and Fixed Assets Register
- Processing of invoices and reconciliation of month-end supplier statements
- Establishing new supplier accounts
- Maintenance of accurate up-to-date vendor information
- EFT Bank Payments
- Raising AR invoices (monthly)
- Providing general administrative support to the Finance Team (including providing month end invoice accruals)

**Who are we looking for?**

Someone who has:

- Highly developed organisational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Experience with accounts payable processes and systems
- Sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work well in a team and liaise directly with suppliers
- General accounting knowledge, including BAS, GST and FBT
- 2 - 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Fully vaccinated against Covid19
