Process Server/ Field Agent

We are a well-established, busy International Debt Collection and Process Serving company located in Joondalup Perth WA seeking a sub-contracted Process Server/ Field agent to service the NORTHERN SUBURBS of Perth (from Perth CBD to Chidlow to Two Rocks). Please note that it is a requirement that our servers are at least double Covid Vaccinated.

The job requires you to personally serve court documents on individuals, conduct field calls to establish occupancy/ provide information to debtors, repossess vehicles/ properties and take vacant possession of properties.

To be successful in this position you will need to be able to work predominantly in the evenings (5pm till 9pm) and a day on the weekend (The weekend attempt is the most important). There will be cases in which a day time attendance might be required. You will need to be confident in attending properties at night time no matter the area. Please note that the work load fluctuates.

As this is a sub-contractor position, you will be required to provide your ABN, own vehicle, own mobile, you pay your own taxes, superannuation and expenses.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Process Server/ Field Agent. Experience is preferred but not essential.

- *What is process serving?

A.* Process serving is the delivery of court documents. Different court documents have different manners of service: personal, serving anyone at the address or affixing the documents to the property. We also have to conduct field calls which involve speaking to the debtor, making them aware of the arrears and requesting that they contact the bank. You do not have to collect money.
- *What do I need for process serving?

A.* It is a sub-contracting job so you will require an ABN. The job also requires you to drive so a vehicle and license. You do not need a license for process serving. You will receive some very specific instructions sheets as you’re starting off so you will know exactly what to do. We are also on call 24/7 so if you ever have any queries while out, you are able to get in contact.
- **How does it work?**

**A.**It is your job to attend the address and make an attempt to serve the paperwork/finish the field call. You will be required to make 3 attendances at the address if you are unsuccessful in serving the paperwork the attempts before. You will get paid for each address that you attend. All information such as addresses, photographs, and phone numbers are provided for the debtors/defendants. Once court documents are served, you will receive an affidavit of service which needs to be sworn with a Justice of the Peace and returned back to our office.
- **What is expected of me?**

**A.**We will require you to be honest in the attempts you make and with serving the documents. Serving court documents require you to swear an affidavit saying that that they have been served. This is a legal document and it taken extremely seriously in the courts. We will require you to organised with the work and be making attempts every 3 days. If you forge these attempts we are able to tell, so honesty is key. You will also be required to come into the office every Thursday to drop off your affidavits and pick up/drop off jobs.
- **What are the hours like?**

**A.**You work on your own schedule. We process serve between 9.00 am and 9.00 pm. We require an attempt on each job every 3 days (if you make your first attempt on Monday and are unsuccessful, you must make another attempt by Thursday). You can not make more than one attempt during the day on each job as we have far more success serving outside of business hours and on weekends. You need to ensure that you are available to work nights and weekends.
- **What is the pay like?**

**A.**You will be paid for each address that you attend. The price is inclusive of your vehicle price and fuel. You will receive a stack of jobs in a similar area. Our agents can generally attend 4 addresses in 1 hour which is potentially $120- $280 if they are successful.
- *How much work will I receive?

A. *Our work load fluctuates so it depends. If you prove yourself to be honest and complete the work to our standard, more work will be given to you. You will also be presented with the opportunity to go out on East or South runs which can be worth quite a lot. It can potentially be a full-time wage working significantly less hours however it does depend on the work which we get in that week.
- **Is it safe?**
