Are you a finance professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for supporting operational teams?

We are seeking a highly motivated, well-organised and finance-savvy individual
to join the Parks and Natural Environment
team as a Finance Analyst (Level 6)
for a short-term role of approximately 4–5 months
.

This is a great opportunity to step into a dynamic team environment where your budgeting, reporting and system improvement skills will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

Collate, monitor and review operational and capital budgets.

Prepare accurate, timely financial reports and variance analysis.

Provide financial advice and support to managers, coordinators and internal stakeholders.

Assist with project costing, procurement processes and grant reporting.

Improve financial systems, processes and reporting methods.

Liaise with Financial Services to ensure compliance and alignment with city protocols.

About You:

Strong skills in budgeting, financial analysis and reporting.

Proficiency with Excel and financial systems (e.g.
Finance One).

Knowledge of accounting principles and costing methodologies.

Great communication, time management and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business or related field – or equivalent relevant experience.
