**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

- Ongoing Full Time
- Base salary $67,229 + 11.5% superannuation + maintenance allowance
- Fortnightly rostered day off

Are you an early riser and want to be part of the Infrastructure Maintenance team at Council?

This role will see you predominately perform sweeper, pit and pipe cleaning operations throughout the South Gippsland Shire.

Work normally begins at our Leongatha depot and depending on the program, some days you will be required to start from our Foster depot.

Key responsibilities include:

- Carrying out street sweeping, pit and pipe cleaning as directed
- Contribute to the prioritisation of work orders
- Assist members of the public with their enquiries
- Pre-operation inspections & routine maintenance on plant and equipment
- Record activities undertaken, complete checks & traffic management via mobile phone
- Resolve routine problems pertaining to the immediate job

**ABOUT YOU**:
To be successful you will:

- Have a current Heavy Rigid (HR) License
- Be reliable, have a great attitude and good attention to detail
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with your team and the community
- Have experience and sound knowledge of the operation of relevant plant, machinery and equipment utilised in road maintenance, in specific street sweepers
- Have an understanding of road maintenance principals
- Have civil related plant and equipment qualification and/or competencies (or willing to obtain)
- Be physically capable to carry out manual labouring tasks
- Have the ability to understand and follow OH&S policies and procedures
- Have a current Drivers Licence
- Have the ability to commence work early each day
