Job Title: Executive Director Infrastructure Sustainability

This is a career-defining opportunity to influence the infrastructure, liveability and environmental sustainability of a unique and growing region.

About the Role:

The Executive Director Infrastructure Sustainability leads the Council's largest directorate, spanning infrastructure planning, delivery, and maintenance, along with open space and environment. The role carries significant influence and reach, with responsibility for a team of around 140 staff.

This executive position provides strategic advice and operational leadership to enable delivery of the Council Plan. You will embed high standards of governance and accountability, engage confidently with Councillors, the community, and key partners, and lead a team in delivering infrastructure projects that make a positive impact on the community.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will be an accomplished leader with senior executive experience in infrastructure, project delivery or related technical domains, ideally gained within local government or a strongly aligned regulatory sector.

You will demonstrate political acumen, a customer-first ethos, and a proven ability to deliver results while shaping culture.
