Rumi on Louth is a privately-owned, off-grid luxury eco-resort located on the breathtaking Louth Island off South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula. We’re seeking an experienced and safety-focused Coxswain to support our marine operations, ensuring the smooth and professional transfer of guests, staff, and supplies between the island and the mainland.

This is a unique opportunity to put your maritime skills to use in one of South Australia’s most spectacular and exclusive destinations.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Safely operating resort vessels for guest transfers, staff transport, and supply runs
- Ensuring all trips are conducted in line with maritime regulations and safety protocols
- Performing daily vessel checks and routine maintenance tasks
- Maintaining accurate vessel logbooks, passenger manifests, and compliance records
- Assisting with mooring, docking, and loading/unloading of vessels
- Supporting the logistics and guest services teams with on-water and on-island tasks
- Promoting and adhering to eco-friendly and sustainable marine practices

**About You**
- Proven experience operating vessels under a Coxswain licence in open waters
- Strong seamanship, navigation, and communication skills
- Safety-conscious with excellent knowledge of maritime WH&S legislation and emergency procedures
- Professional, reliable, and guest-focused with a strong commitment to service
- Comfortable working in a remote island environment and adaptable to changing conditions

**Requirements**:

- Coxswain Grade 1 or 2 Certificate of Competency
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid driver’s licence
- Experience in passenger transfer operations preferred
