** Our Flood Restoration Portfolio (FRP)** is the principal delivery agency for restoring the Councils’ and Community assets. **About this Position**:
Our Flood Restoration Portfolio has a fantastic opportunity for a highly qualified Procurement Officer to join our esteemed team working on the Lismore Restoration project. In this pivotal role, you will oversee contractor, subcontractor, and supplier procurement processes, ensuring the project attains its procurement objectives while optimising engagement within the supply chain.

**What we trust you to deliver**:

- Provide advice on procurement and contract management-related matters across the Portfolio.
- Conduct and support the procurement process, using best practices and judgment to make decisions on procurement and contract-related activities that are fundamental to the portfolio's operations.
- Assist with preparing and reviewing written material, including reports, contracts, and procurement documentation.
- Assist with delivering procurement and contract management training to team members to build capability and capacity in the line areas, including preparing policies, guides, templates, and procedures.
- Assist with managing and administrating procurement and contract management tools, processes, forms, templates, and policies.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing suppliers to contract negotiations and selection.
- Actively seek ways to streamline business processes; research and provide information on industry category trends and best practices.
- Provide input to maximise procurement leverage, optimise project design, and minimize project duration and costs.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities and qualifications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and develop procurement strategies that meet their needs.
- Monitor and track supplier performance and maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery information.
- Ensure compliance with Council policies and procedures and applicable legal requirements.
- Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

**What you will need to be successful**:

- Certificate Level 4 qualification and extensive experience in procurement activities and documentation preparation.
- Strong understanding of procurement systems and processes and developing procedures and processes.
- Sound working knowledge of local government legislative requirements about procurement activities.
- Current Class C Driver's License.
- Be accepting of new ideas and embrace change.
- Be highly professional in your actions and conduct.
- Be outcome-focused.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Proactive, highly motivated, and flexible.
- Highly organised and attentive to detail
- Strong data entry skills.
- Experienced with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
