**About the Role**

We have a rare opportunity for a Sustainability Analyst on a twelve-month fixed term contract to support our Sustainability Team in data analytics, benchmarking, strategy development and reporting. Based in Wacol in the Western Suburbs of Brisbane and reporting directly to the Group Manager Sustainability, this role will work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders to deliver on JBS Australia Sustainability Initiatives across the Australia and New Zealand operations.

**Your key responsibilities include (but are not limited to)**:

- Analysing and benchmarking business operations and corporate sustainability data to support sustainability reporting and identify improvement opportunities, particularly water use, energy and greenhouse gas emissions
- Support the development of strategies to achieve JBS Australia sustainability goals in our facilities and supply chains based on data, particularly our Net Zero and water targets, and to provide advice on commercial technologies, process improvements and capital projects to deliver against the targets
- As part of Net Zero strategy development, review and advise on carbon data, carbon accounting methods and carbon markets, leveraging experience in agriculture and industrial emissions and strategic commercial responses
- Ability to work with operations, engineering and corporate teams to understand and document data methods, identify gaps, propose solutions to key sustainability challenges, and focus on actions that will “move the needle”
- Knowledge and capability to oversee customised systems to manage sustainability data (e.g. Credit 360), including implementing changes as required
- Broad sustainability / ESG reporting and analysis capability, including managing routine sustainability reporting processes, with a focus on data integrity, working across corporate departments and business units
- Ability to work and communicate efficiently and effectively with a wide range of internal stakeholders to deliver results
- Ability to think strategically and to advise the Group Manager Sustainability on opportunities to improve the JBS Australia sustainability function
- Capability to manage business sustainability data and reporting in a range of platforms, including Credit 360 and MS Excel

**About you**:
A strong focus on carbon data, carbon accounting methods, carbon markets and carbon strategy development, leveraging experience in agriculture and industrial emissions and strategic commercial responses will be well regarded. Key skills and experience that will see you succeed include:

- Qualified professional, relevant degree essential
- Keen attention to detail
- Experience of at least 3 years in similar role
- Demonstrated report writing and analytical skills
- Able to build rapport and credibility quickly by demonstrating value with a hands-on approach
- Strategic thinker with commercial acumen
- Strong communicator with excellent listening and interaction skills
- Finance/Business background preferred
- Moderate to Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
- Moderate knowledge of reporting platforms such as Credit 360
