**About the Formula Room at Monash Health**

The Formula Room is located in Monash Medical Centre, Clayton and provides formula to wards in Monash Medical Centre and the adjacent Monash Children’s Hospital. The Formula Room operates seven days per week. The Formula Room Technician is supported by dietitians and operationally managed by the Monash Children’s Allied Health Manager.

**About the Role**

You will be responsible for the preparation and distribution of infant, paediatric and adult formula to the patients of Monash Children’s Hospital and Monash Medical Centre, Clayton according to the individualised requirements of each patient. You will also monitor stock levels, place procurement orders as required, collect and disinfect baby bottles and equipment and maintain a clean and tidy workplace. This is a sole position that requires you to work independently in a flexible manner to meet the requirements of the Formula Room workload. You will receive thorough training and induction to prepare you for this position.

Shifts are from 8-16:30 and these positions would include weekdays and weekends. If you are available to provide casual cover at other times this will be viewed favourably.

**What we’re looking for in you**:

- A qualification in food services, home economics or food science would be viewed favourably as would current food safety training (not essential).
- Demonstrated willingness to learn new skills
- Experience in working independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail and time management skills

**Benefits, Rewards and Remuneration**:

- This role is classified as a Food Technician (GS6) and is paid according to award rates.
- There is parking and a gymnasium on site. The role is based in Monash Medical Centre Clayton.
