The Department of Veterans’ Affairs Client Support Framework (CSF) encompasses a range of services and programs to provide support for veterans and their families. It is focused on supporting clients with identified vulnerability and complexity factors who require assistance in navigating the DVA systems to achieve and maintain wellbeing. Most of the services delivered under the aegis of the CSF are telephonic, however there may be opportunities for face to face service delivery on occasion.
The Client Support Framework operates within a context of Trauma Informed Practice. Trauma Informed Practice is a strengths-based approach which recognises the physical, psychological and emotional symptoms of exposure to trauma and which acknowledges the impact of trauma on the individual and the family.
**Duties**:

- Advise on and respond to cases of medium complexity where issues such as self-harm, suicide risk/attempt, homelessness, complex health needs, high profile issues and/or media interest are present.
- Collaborate with and provide advice to business areas across the Department, to coordinate a timely and tailored business response to the issues, to a point of resolution.
- Speak regularly with clients to understand their circumstances and needs, and identify options to meet these. This may include assessing the needs of the case, managing the case directly, or exploring alternative options which are better placed to meet the needs of the case and facilitating on-referral to a more appropriate service.
- Adhere to record keeping protocols and program governance.
- Be available and logged in to the group pickup line.

A merit pool will be established that may be used to fill similar positions (ongoing and non-ongoing) within the next 18 months.
