**The Opportunity**:
Urbis is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Manager to join the team in our Melbourne office. In this role, you'll report to the Head of Technology and support the protection of our technology, digital, information assets, clients, and people. As the Cyber Security Manager, you will be responsible to implement, support and execute on our firm's Security Strategy and ongoing improvement program.
This role will work with all stakeholders, system owners, data owners, and 3rd party vendors to ensure risks are identified, mitigated, managed and reported. This will include assessing both internal and external systems and services. You will also chair and run the Technology Security Steering Committee.
**You will**:
- Establish our processes and implement technical scanning in line with relevant standard policies and procedures to identify potential cyber security issues and threats.
- Identify, interpret, and analyse data to produce timely and actionable reports, visualisations and/or recommendations for stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of, implement and monitor systems, procedures, policies, methods and tools required to minimise cybersecurity risks
- Own delivery of relevant components of Cybersecurity improvement program
- Support and contribute to the organisation's Cybersecurity strategy and continuous improvement program.
- Run cyber security assessments on current and potential 3rd party providers, partners or contractors.
- Holding Business Unit briefing sessions to communicate adherence to security awareness.
- Managing, deploying and maintaining security infrastructure
- Implementing security systems, such as firewalls, data protection controls and encryption
- Conducting vulnerability tests and identifying and addressing any weaknesses
**About You**:
- Degree qualified in Computer Science, Engineering or Management Information Systems/ Science or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Cybersecurity Analyst/Engineer role
- Experience working with IT Vendors in the delivery of cybersecurity and/or technology services
- Strong commercial acumen, business judgement and an entrepreneurial attitude, with excellent analytical skills
- Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defence-in-depth, and common security elements
- Prioritises and manages the competing demands of multiple assignments and/ or projects within agreed timeframes.
- Demonstrates commercial discipline and consistency through compliance with company policy, process and performance expectations.
- Influences outcomes through proactive, informed, and decisive communication
