YMCA's Camp Manyung, located just a short walk from the Port Phillip foreshore, is seeking a passionate leader and skilled chef worker to join their dynamic team

**About Camp Manyung**
Camp Manyung is a recreation camp located in Mt Eliza on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, and managed by YMCA Camps. Catering to schools and groups year-round, the team at Camp Manyung run a variety of programs and activities to suit every group, from snorkelling and kayaking to archery and raft building. Featuring a state-of-the-art recreation centre, flexible and accessible accommodation and picturesque outdoor areas, Camp Manyung is the perfect place to explore the great outdoors.

**About the Role**
As the Catering Coordinator, you will ensure all campers receive nutritious, allergy-friendly and delicious meals during their stay. In this hands-on role you will have the responsibility for directing catering staff as well as working directly in the kitchen as a sous chef. You will be responsible for:

- The provision and preparation of food for camp clients, including the coordination of special diets
- The training and supervision of the catering team in all aspects of food preparation and service including safe use of kitchen equipment, food handling, cleaning routines/checklists and liaison with campers in campers’ kitchen set up and clean up
- Preparing and serving meals that provide a healthy balanced diet, ensuring sufficient quantity and variety, and professional presentation at all times
- Undertake a range of operational tasks within established policies and procedures utilising acquired skills and knowledge
- Upholding the values of the YMCA at all times

This is a permanent, full-time role with an hourly rate of $28.48 - $36.82 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

**Mandatory Pre-Requisite Qualifications**
- HLTAID003 or HLTAID011 - Provide first aid
- HLTAID001 or HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- SITXFSA001 - Use hygienic practices for food safety
- Current Drivers Licence

**Highly Desirable Qualifications**
- SITXFSA002 - Participate in safe food handling practices
- VU21658 - Manage asthma risks and emergencies in the workplace
- VU21800 - Provide first aid management of anaphylaxis
- VU21801 - Develop risk minimisation and risk management strategies for anaphylaxis
- Other qualifications in Hospitality/Catering an advantage
