The Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) is a substantial injection of Federal funds to accelerate the translation of high-quality research through to meaningful health improvements for Australians. **About the Role**
As MRFF Proposal Manager, you will be responsible for the development of high-quality proposals and related communications aligned to MRFF funding opportunities. You will support researchers in navigating the MRFF requirements and help them craft a compelling narrative when designing their proposals.

Working collaboratively with your leadership team and key stakeholders across the University, you will identify external funding opportunities; scope the research and clinical strengths of the University and our aligned partners; and assist with high-level stakeholder engagement in the development of solution-focused programs of work.

Responsibilities include:

- Prepare MRFF-related briefings for internal and external stakeholders, including government, industry, investors, health service providers, community groups and philanthropic organsations
- Provide strategic advice to the designated bid team; bid writing, sourcing and synthesis of contributed content in partnership with academics and researchers
- Support the MRFF major projects pipeline, which may involve facilitating stakeholder workshops such as pre-event communications, minutes, action plans and follow-up communications

**About You**
You will influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels, utilising your strong editorial skills to provide strategic advice and constructive, actionable feedback. With your exceptional written communication skills, you can conceptualise opportunities, elucidate external drivers and priorities, and articulate compelling, aligned value propositions.

With an understanding of the research environment, you will draw on your emotional intelligence to exercise empathy and patience when supporting researchers to write proposals.

You will also have:

- Post-graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent mix of education and relevant experience
- Track record for securing substantial funding for major proposals, in which you have been a primary author
- Experience in writing promotional material, briefs and/or pitch documents directed toward government, industry or philanthropic audiences
