Group Reporting Manager | Permanent | Kew Melbourne
Due to internal promotions an opportunity has opened up in our Finance team for a Group Reporting Manager. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller your role will cover four key areas, outlined below, with exposure to the CEO, Executive Leadership team and to our team in the US.
You will responsible for consolidating the group's monthly financial results, preparing the group's local financial statements, preparing and presenting financial analysis to our Executive team and overseeing the financial controls environment. You'll also lead and mentor a team of 3 high performing Accountants.
- Group consolidation
- Manage the group's month-end close and consolidation of the group's financial statements
- Analyse results and investigate key balances/unusual movements
- Implement and oversee accounting policies
- Provide technical guidance and insights on accounting and reporting matters
- Financial planning and analysis
- Support monthly management reporting requirements to the Executive team and US
- Provide key insights to stakeholders on financial performance
- Manage group budgeting and forecasting processes
- Oversee financial planning and accounting for corporate functions
- Financial controls compliance
- Monitor the adherence of key finance controls under US Sarbanes Oxley (SOX)
- Support continuing enhancements to processes and systems to improve controls efficiencies
- Financial statement preparation
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements for the group
- Manage key elements of the internal / external audit processes
What experience do I have?
- CA/CPA qualified - essential
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar role or an audit role with a Big 4/Mid Tier firm
- Proven financial reporting & technical accounting skills
- Strong leader with a keen desire to mentor and develop our people
- A problem solver, with excellent attention to detail and prioritisation skills
- Positive attitude and proven stakeholder management
