**A great Origin opportunity**
Together we’re powering a cleaner, smarter energy future for Australia and beyond, always looking for better ways to deliver for our customers - and for our people.
Good energy starts with you, our great people.
**ABOUT THE ROLE
**Origin is leading the transition to net zero through clean energy and customer solutions. Gas forms an essential part of the energy mix during the transition and Origin, via the Integrated Gas business unit, is continuing to invest in gas exploration and production throughout Australia.
The Principal Regulatory Advisor is part of a small team of regulatory specialists, experts in engagement, compliance and project management who work to create value and protect the APLNG Gas Portfolio. This role will frequently collaborate with stakeholders involved in the gas portfolio value chain.
**More about the role**:
- Lead the development of CSG Marketing’s regulatory policy positions on domestic gas competition, access and pricing.
- Manage emerging commercial risk associated with anticipated regulatory reform.
- Deliver new reporting obligations and optimise commercial opportunities that may emerge as a result of anticipated regulatory reform.
- Network across upstream operations and CSG Marketing to identify and implement regulatory solutions that improve flexibility, maximise value and reduce commercial risk.
- Deliver competition, access and pricing advice to shape business decisions relating to commercial agreements.
- Lead the business’s knowledge of market trends and regulatory developments that impact on APLNG and its customers.
**ABOUT YOU**
Your ability to see the big picture is matched by your attention to detail. You have strong project management, commercial and stakeholder engagement skills, backed up with solid experience in regulatory policy and compliance. You communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
**More about you**
- 10+ years in a complex or large organisation, preferably in the oil or gas industry
- Project or team leadership experience
- Tertiary qualified (i.e. commerce, economics, engineering, science or law)
- Experience in:
- regulatory policy and compliance, including change and implementation
- stakeholder management
- engaging with regulators and maintaining constructive relationships.
**Origin - Where good change happens**
At Origin, we’re powered by people who believe in creating collective change. We’re creating more diverse and inclusive workplaces for everyone because the more perspectives we have, in a place where everyone can belong, the better we can tackle our challenges together. We are united, yet unique.
If you think you have transferable skills, an appetite to learn and would be a great fit, we’d love to hear from you.
Jobs are generally posted internally for 5 business days.
