Home Care Employee

The primary objective of the role is:To enable frail elderly Chinese and Vietnamese people, people living with dementia or other chronic conditions to continue living in their home and support their relationship with their carers through provision of high quality person centred direct care services that meet the older person’s needs.

**The Requirements**:
**Essential**
- Motivation and commitment to caring for the elderly
- Certificate III in Aged Care / Certificate III in Home and Community Care or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience in health, aged or community based services providing personal care, domestic assistance and/or support services
- Evidence of good communication skills, including fluency in written and spoken Chinese and basic skills in written and spoken English
- Evidence of good team building and interpersonal skills
- First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
- Current driver’s licence, good driving record, and access to a reliable care with comprehensive car insurance
- Access to and ability to use a smart mobile phone.
- Australian Citizenship / Residency.
- National Police Clearance.
**Desirable**
- Experience in dementia care
- Qualifications and experience in providing medication assistance
- Fluency in written and spoken Vietnamese
- Experience working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse populations.
