Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS6 WHS Officer on a contract for up to 12 months.
**Position Overview**
**Major areas of Responsibility**:
Undertake research, development and implementation of policy and practices related to WHS.
Deliver key WHS projects, including:
- Plan and undertake a restructure of the WHS Management System framework and associated documents to ensure provide logical, easy to read and find material that meets ISO 45001 requirements.
- Undertake a review of the WHS reporting with a view to improving the presentation of information to management and the Health, Safety and Environment Committee (HSEC) to enable continuous improvement of WHS programs and initiatives.
- Undertake a review of current incident and hazard reporting forms to improve usability and enable improved analysis of data and trends.
- Work with business stakeholders to undertake a formal assessment of Agency’s psychosocial risk profile.
- Develop a Mental Health and Wellbeing Plan that incorporates psychosocial hazards, mental health and wellbeing.
- Undertake a review of the WHS risk register and develop a WHS risk management process and standards.
- Review and update Agency’s Designated Workgroups to ensure appropriate representation on the HSEC.
- Prepare a statement of requirements for an approach to market for a supplier of personal protective equipment to the Agency.
