**About the Team**
Join the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) team based in Brisbane today. ILS works as part of the Engineering Department to deliver the best products and services to our customers from logistics analysis through to instructional design and delivery.
**About the Role**
The Instructional Designer is responsible for conducting Performance Needs Analysis and for the Design and Development of Learning Management Packages to meet the requirements of the LAND 400 Training Sub-program. This includes the development of all learning materials, training equipment analysis and researching appropriate source documentation and existing learning materials to determine the appropriate Learning Outcomes.
- The general and generic duties of the Instructional Designer include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct - Training Analysis, Design and Development in accordance with the Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL) and the Customer’s specific requirements;
- Development/production of proposals for bespoke e-Learning resources, Part-Task Trainers and Simulation learning resources that are compelling and engaging;
- Maintain a commitment to the production of quality Training Sub-program deliverables and deliverable milestones;
- Development functional relationships and maintain close collaboration with RDA and Commonwealth of Australia Training Teams and stakeholders and with OEM/SME;
- Advocate for Training matters at RDA and Commonwealth convened meetings, conferences, Learning Review Boards (LRB) and Learning Implementation Boards (LIB), Training development workshops and Mandated Systems Reviews (MSR);
- Contribute to the delivery and evaluation of Trial Training events to a successful conclusion;
- Provide support and guidance on training development matters to broader ILS and RDA Stakeholders; and
- Report to the Instructional Design Team Leader and/or the Training System Manager any issues that could affect Training Analysis, Design and Development and the deliverable schedule.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
- Holds a Certificate IV TAE40110 or Certificate IV TAE40116 in Training and Assessment;
- Has a minimum of three years’ experience as a Senior Instructional Designer (including SADL Instructional Design experience);
- Advanced level MS Office competency particularly MS PowerPoint;
- Advanced communication and relationship building skills;
- Ability to travel internationally and interstate when required;
- Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment; and
- Previous RAAC Training Development and Instructional experience.
