**About the Opportunity**

Endeavour has established group-wide analytics capability to deliver on our ambition to be customer and insight led. Part of this capability, led by the Business Intelligence team, is to support our finance, strategy and operations teams to ensure the business is connected with the right information to understand and drive performance.

The Business Intelligence Data Lead aims to deliver trusted and reliable data to support performance reporting, analytics and insights to help provide visibility on key measures to assist in growing the business and support future strategy development.
- Provide thought leadership on industry best practices regarding data for business intelligence solutions.
- Lead data modellers and data analysts focused on BI product development.
- Develop and manage data models that underpin BI products, ensuring credible, reliable, stable and reconciled outputs.
- Establish and enhance robust governance and processes for data modelling from development to production, ensuring all considerations for security, compliance and reliability in data are managed.
- Work with the Senior Manager of Business Intelligence to develop the data strategy for the team.
- Drive and improve data literacy across stakeholders.
- Build the capability of the team through leadership, coaching, development and performance management
- Identifies current and future capability needs and works with the Senior Manager BI to develop a capability roadmap to meet future needs
- Sets team norms, standards and procedures and ensures these are understood and followed by team members
- Ensures team members knowledge and expertise remains current and is in line with industry best practice
- Establish credible relationships with business stakeholders.
- Strong experience with databases, DB queries, ability to manipulate data & understand impacts on performance (SQL, Teradata, excel etc.).
- Great experience in Data Conversion/Migration Projects within a consulting-led environment.

**What you’ll need to succeed**
- Demonstrated capability in ensuring end-to-end solution designs meet the needs of the stakeholders, provide a quality technical solution, and comply with architectural directions and enterprise standards.
- Experience in data governance and management principles and practices
- Exposure and understanding of Tableau and other BI/ data visualisation tools.
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong understanding of finance and finance principles
- Tertiary qualification in Maths, Statistics, Science, Engineering, Commerce, Finance or equivalent
- Proven experience in leading teams
- 7-10 years experience working in analytics and Business Intelligence domains
- Experience with ThoughtSpot
- Experience in retail/FMCG industry
- Experience and understanding and implementing data modelling best practices in a large organisation.
- Great experience in Data Conversion/Migration Projects within a consulting-led environment.
