**The Role**
In this newly created role, the Sustainability Analyst will support in the collection, analysis, and reporting of non-financial data across the business. You will work collaboratively with all parts of the business to provide data-driven insights into their performance and provide recommendations regarding key sustainability initiatives.
Your role will be instrumental in the roll out of an ESG management system to help the wider business collate quality non-financial data, to be used across Centuria’s value chain. The Sustainability Analyst will also be actively involved in strategic ESG initiatives being developed and rolled out across the Group.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Specific to the Funds**
- Support the Funds with the reporting on environmental metrics as part of full and half year results.
- Coordinate fund COF’s[CW1] GRESB submissions.
**Property/Portfolio Management**
- Working closely with the Facilities and Property Management teams based in Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines to collect environmental data.
- Make recommendations regarding ESG and building management systems used to collect environmental data.
**Stakeholder Management**
- Build strong relationships within the business to effectively perform the role.
- Work closely with the Asset Management, Funds, Finance, and Investor Relations teams.
- Manage and coordinate external consultants on various engagements.
**Financial/Reporting**
- Support the Group’s wider reporting efforts including, but not limited to full and half year results, board reports and fund analysis.
**Compliance**
- Coordinate the Group’s reporting requirements under applicable legislation, including NGERs.
- Support the General Manager - Sustainability with additional compliance reporting requirements, including submitting Centuria’s Modern Slavery Statement.
**About You**
You are a known for being a self-starter, who is highly organised, and willing to take ownership. You are very comfortable asking for help when needed and can handle the ambiguity that goes with carving out a newly created role and making it your own.
You are someone who is innately passionate about all things sustainability and relishes the opportunity to lift awareness, educate and engage with various parts of the business on key sustainability initiatives.
You also have a natural ability to communicate complex financial or technical information clearly and concisely, to senior stakeholders and board members across the business.
**Required Experience**
You may come from a financial services background with strong data analysis and in interest in transitioning into the sustainability field or already be working in this space.
Key experience ideally includes:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, science, math, sustainability, or engineering.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar analyst role, with experience in the property industry desirable **.**:
- Very strong data management, reporting, numeracy, and quality control experience.
- Strong analytical capability and ability to effectively communicate information to a variety of stakeholders.
- Previous experience reporting in-line with the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act (NGER), Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) and the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience using Sustainability or ESG data systems preferred.
