About the role

Working within the Continuous Improvement and Business Engagement Corporate Value Stream within ICT, the National Test Manager is accountable for the delivery of testing strategies and practices within the regulated environment of Lifeblood. Reporting to director level you will be responsible for managing a highly specialised team of permanent Test Leads, Automation Analysts, and consultant testing staff as we transform from manual to automation testing. The team is responsible for testing changes, delivered through a range of methodologies including Agile, Waterfall and BAU (business as usual) that will affect the production environment.

The role will also work closely with other teams within the ICT Business Unit as well as key business stakeholders to build and promote the testing capability. Critical to the role will be your ability to deliver continuous improvement to the testing strategies and practices to support the varying delivery methods, in particular SaFE (Scaled Agile Framework for Enterprises) Agile, while still meeting standards required in a cGMP environment.

Sound interesting? Here’s what we are looking for;
Extensive experience in Software testing and testing tools, including 3+ years directly leading projects and teams, across a range of technologies and industries.

In depth experience in utilisation of testing tools, specifically MicroFocus ALM and Azure DevOps.

Proven knowledge and experience in automated testing approaches/practices and tools contributing to CI/CD pipelines.

Excellent leadership skills and experience with an ability to coach, mentor and develop teams

Track record of delivering testing outcomes in a mixed technology environment.

Strong ability to influence at all levels of the organisation
