**About the Role**

Primary responsibilities are to:

- Manage library staff and volunteers and provide oversight of the day-to-day operations of the library.
- Ensure library resources in each discipline are continually enhanced in a cost effective and efficient manner.
- Manage the library operations including, but not limited to, security, study facilities, audio-visual and computer facilities (including hardware and software), copying and printing facilities, and all aspects of use and care of the collection.
- Provide quality academic library service for staff and students and instruction in the use of library databases and online resources.
- Drive continuous improvements in the library informed from research and industry benchmarking.

**Selection Criteria**

Qualifications and Professional Standing:

- Relevant qualifications in Librarianship or Information Management and eligibility for membership with the Australian Library and Information Association.

Essential:

- Committed Christian involved in a local congregation.
- Previous experience working in a Library in a higher education setting (or equivalent) would be an advantage.
- Experience with library software and discovery sites, ideally experience with Summon and Liberty (Library Management System).
- An understanding of current and emerging trends in all areas of library administration and higher education environments.
- Technological literacy and an interest in exploring new options for providing Library and information services.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and confidence in presentations to groups.
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with students, faculty, researchers and administrators.
- Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, manage projects, and meet deadlines.
- Full Australian Working Rights.
