**About the role**:
This leadership role is responsible for the Service Design & Transition portfolio providing the capability specific to service management frameworks used by the domain Service Management practices. You will own the capabilities under the portfolio providing overall management, governance and reporting of key processes such as IT Change Management, Service Transition, Configuration Management, Release & Deployment Management and Asset Management.

As such the role works closely with Service Delivery Managers (SDMs) across the T&T domains of Group Infrastructure, Insurance Technology and Banking Technology for assets under management.

This is a key engagement for the organisation to ensure that we embed and adopt the SIAM framework and governance expectations and align with industry best practice. You will have the opportunity to join Suncorp at a pivotal time in establishing and building their SIAM capabilities, enabling you to make your mark on one of Australia’s leading Insurers.

**What you’ll do**:

- Establish, maintain and embed the Service Design and Transition capabilities and practices across: IT Change Management, Service Transition, Configuration Management, Release & Deployment Management and Asset Management.
- Continuous improvement of all capabilities and practices through transparent measurement of performance with an emphasis on minimising manual effort and maximising data driven improvement.
- Establish, maintain and evolve the necessary governance framework
- Analysing, understanding, and continuously managing interdependencies across the Service Providers Groups.
- Working with the SDMs and Vendor Management to aid the effective management of reviews of SLAs, OLAs and underpinning contracts.
- Working with Service Delivery Managers to ensure that operational teams have the skills and capacity to fulfil the requirements of the systems in their care.
- Participate in service reviews, service provider reviews and provides input to service level agreements and underpinning contract negotiations

**What you’ll bring**:

- At least five (5) years’ experience working in a similar role and/or area within an Enterprise IT Environment.
- 5+ years working with firsthand exposure to service management capabilities and ways of working in a medium/large organisation, mínimally the areas of change, release, request, continuity, capacity, asset management and configuration management.
- 3+ years’ experience working with partners across the lifecycle of partner engagement including an understanding of implementation of contract obligations in an operational environment and the ability to manage, review and ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled whilst also integrating partner contribution with the internal teams.
- Demonstrable exposure to and knowledge of IT service principles and frameworks including ITIL, capabilities tools (ServiceNow), frameworks, and best practice methods.
- ITIL v3/4 Foundations or relevant experience
- Previous experience working within financial services/insurance would be beneficial
