We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Disability Support Worker with experience in Mental Health to join our dedicated team.

As a Disability Support Worker with Mental Health Experience, you will play a crucial role in providing personalised support to individuals with disabilities, with a focus on those with mental health needs.

Your primary role will be providing Individual Support to our NDIS Participants within their Home or out in the Community.

**This may include Providing Support with**:

- Personal Care
- Social and Community Participation
- Household Tasks
- Supported Accommodation
- Skills Development
- Transport

**Requirements**:

- **Experience working with PWD with Complex Mental Health Needs**:

- **Experience working with Forensic NDIS Participants**:

- **Minimum of Certificate IV in Disability/ Mental Health or Equivalent**:

- A Genuine Willingness and ability to show Compassion towards NDIS Participants and a Role Model
- A Current and Valid Driver’s License & Fully Insured Vehicle (Participant Community and Social Transport Purposes)
- Current First Aid Certificate including CPR
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Current Police Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module “Quality, Safety and You” Certificate
- COVID-19 Infection Control Certificate

**Preferred to Have**:

- **Mental Health First Aid**:

- Manual Handling Training
- Fire Safety Course
- Food Handling Course

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Shift work

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates
- Performance bonus

**Experience**:

- Working with people with developmental disabilities: 2 years (required)
- working with people with Mental Health: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Driver Licence (required)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (required)
- National Police Certificate (required)
- Certificate 4 in Mental Health (required)
- Diploma in Mental Health (required)
- Working with Children Check (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
