Our team is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve, and we are looking for a skilled and compassionate Disability Support Worker with experience in Mental Health to join our dedicated team.

As a Disability Support Worker with Mental Health Experience, you will play a crucial role in providing personalised support to individuals with disabilities, with a focus on those with mental health needs. You will work collaboratively with our clients to promote independence, well-being, and community integration.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities, with an emphasis on mental health support.
- Develop and implement individualised support plans tailored to the unique needs and goals of each client.
- Assist clients in daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes the social, emotional, and physical well-being of clients.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals and family members, to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Monitor and report on the progress of clients, documenting any changes or concerns, with knowledge of Care Plans, Support Plan, Mental Health Plan and Behaviour Support Plans.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience as a Disability Support Worker, with an understanding on mental health support.
- Relevant qualifications in disability support, mental health, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities, particularly those with mental health needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications, Certificate IV in Disability/Mental Health, NDIS Screening Check, WWCC and Police Check
- Mental Health First Aid (Desirable)

**Salary**: $38.00 - $55.00 per hour

Supplemental pay types:
