**Position overview**:
A full time Maintenance Technician role has become available at our Wacol site, QLD. We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to work as part of a small team to ensure that our production facilities continue to operate safely and effectively.

**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful applicant will:

- Carrying out both preventative and breakdown maintenance of the manufacturing plant and plant equipment.
- Undertaking improvements and modifications when required.
- Be responsible for the assembly and fabrication of pump sets, and other associated equipment.
- Perform some MIG, TIG and Electric Arc Welding as required.
- Work within a permit to work system and in compliance with site safety regulations.
- Be responsible for the safe and legal operation of equipment and the wearing of safety PPE supplied.
- Accept personal responsibility to ensure all company policies are adhered too including contribution to a safe workplace and in compliance with Allnex procedures and systems.
- Operate the corporate CMMS (SAP) for planning and scheduling engineering works.

**Required skills and experience**:

- Experienced and qualified fitter and turner / welder.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in chemical or similar industries process plant maintenance.
- Sound problem solving skills.
- A strong work ethic and ability to work in a small team.
- Commitment to Safety, Occupational Health, Environment and Quality principles and practices.
- Experience with compressors and pneumatics is desirable.
- Pump maintenance experience is desirable.
- Confined space entry certificate is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines on a multitude of tasks.
- Ability to quickly assess problems and able to process workable solutions.

**Qualifications**:

- Relevant trade qualifications.
