**Resident Mechanical Technician**

- Immediate start

As a Mechanical Technician, do you have a background and experience in food manufacturing processes and automated manufacturing systems? This opportunity will undertake improvements related to manufacturing processes, including those related to products, equipment, human interface, and product quality. A key focus will be preventative and reactive maintenance duties.
The site operated Monday - Friday, mornings, and afternoon shift patterns with regular opportunities for overtime.
**Day-to-day responsibilities**:

- To ensure maximum equipment uptime is achieved by providing effective and efficient mechanical preventative and breakdown maintenance.
- Engage in making, fitting or repairing mechanical machines, instruments or appliances.
- Ensure that all mechanical work is carried out to meet the Company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to identify faults with the ability to troubleshoot and rectify problems.
- Providing mechanical support to the day shift and afternoon shift as required.
- Other responsibilities that may come up, such as working on projects.

**About you**:

- Certificate III or above qualifications in hydraulics or pneumatics; and/or
- Certificate IV Engineering Mechanical Special Class; and/or
- Certificate IV Fluid Power (Pneumatics)
- Ability to MIG and TIG Weld Stainless steel highly desired.
- Forklift Ticket highly desired
- Effective and efficient fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations/procedures.
- Confined Space and BA Competence are highly desired.
- Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced modern manufacturing environment FMCG (food experience would be highly regarded although not essential)
