About the opportunity
We have exciting opportunity as a Regulatory Policy Advisor to join the regulatory policy team who will contribute by:
*
Work closely with ESV's lawyers and technical experts to deliver timely and high-quality internal regulatory policies, guidelines and procedures in an environment of competing priorities and continuous change.

*
Work collaboratively with teams across ESV to develop high-quality industry guidance to help duty holders understand their responsibilities and ESV's expectations, ensuring documents are written in plain English and appropriate for the intended audience.

*
Undertake environmental scanning, research and analysis, and work collaboratively across ESV, to identify emerging themes, trends or issues to inform regulatory policy and training planning.

*
Support and drive energy safety policy projects, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, to deliver high-quality advice with recommendations and innovative solutions based on comprehensive research and analysis.

Establish and maintain a centralised system for managing internal regulatory policies, guidelines and procedures, and external regulatory guidance materials, ensuring they remain current and fit for purpose.

**To be successful, you'll have**:
*
Hands-on regulatory experience, obtained working at a regulator in the last 5 years, preferably with a safety, energy, economics or consumer focus.

*
Experience working with mature compliance and enforcement frameworks and strong governance controls to ensure valid exercise of statutory powers.

Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to identify practical solutions to resolve issues and deliver quality outcomes.
