**About the role**

The** Mechanical Fitter (Afternoon shift roster)**role**is a** Full-time**position, based at **Wantirna South, Victoria.** Reporting to the** Manufacturing Manager**at our manufacturing site**,**you will be working Monday to Friday on the afternoon roster (2pm-10pm) assisting with general maintenance and breakdown work.

Ideally, the successful applicant will be required to have a manufacturing or Building background, **Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate** or **Boilermaker Certificate**, have good attendance and have a strong awareness and regard for health, safety and the environment.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Complete planned maintenance tasks.
- Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs.
- General machining
- Complete repairs or modifications as requested by your Supervisor.
- Mechanical **Fitting**, maintenance related to conveyors, strappers,Kiln rails, extruder,bricks handling machinery ,conveyors, bearings rollers etc.
- Fabrication-Simple stick and **MiG** **welding**:

- Competence in Welding
- Machine tools - Occasional use of **milling** machine, **lathe** and **pedestal drill**.
- Exposure to Hydraulics
- Strong Safety standards. Conversant in Take 2, JSEA Safety tools.
- Maintain safe work & operating practices; and maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
