Oncore by Clare Smyth is currently seeking a highly experienced **Head Sommelier** to join their dedicated team. You will responsible for maintaining the wine list, recommending wines accordingly and ensures the wine is enjoyed. In additional you will be responsible for maintaining and executing all special beverage promotions designed to increase beverage sales in the restaurant. In this role you will enjoy creating a tailored experience for each guest by being visible throughout service.

**About you**:

- Previous experience as a Head Sommelier within a Michelin restaurant, hatted restaurant preferred but not essential although experience within a fine dining establishment is essential.
- WSET (level 3 or diploma).
- Exceptional leadership skills with the proven ability to coach and mentor a large team
- Exceptional grooming standards appropriate for a 5- star environment
- Please note that this role will require Manual Handling.

**Additional Information**:
This role requires:

- Valid RSA certificate
- Experience with People-soft or similar inventory system is advantageous
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a customer facing role
- Experience within a fast-paced environment
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- ** Unrestricted working rights to fulfill the full time working hours of the role**
