Are you a passionate and experienced Sommelier eager to enhance your career? Lotus Dining is seeking a talented career minded Sommelier to join our front of house team, serving across our venues, Lotus Barangaroo and Pearl Dining.
**About Our Venues**:
**Lotus Barangaroo** is located in Sydney's number one dining precinct Barangaroo, 5 minutes walk from Wynyard Station. The restaurant is fast paced but refined and operates 7 days a week, lunch and dinner.
**Pearl Dining** is our new high-end venue located inside the AMP building at Circular Quay. Pearl Dining operates Tuesday through Saturday, offering both lunch and dinner services.
This is a hands-on position for an individual who loves creating memorable dining experience. You need to be on top of your game, quick on your feet, have sound product knowledge and have honed your hospitality skills over some years. If you enjoy dynamic services, then we are what you’re looking for.
**You will be responsible for a range of duties, including**:
- Work alongside with the Group Head Sommelier and venue Head Sommelier to develop an extensive wine menu with a focus on high-quality and unique wines from around the world
- Advising guests on wines that best complement their meals
- Maintaining stock levels and conducting regular stock checks
- Arranging wine tastings and wine pairing events
- Providing training and guidance to staff on wines and wine making
- Advising on legal and regulatory requirements related to the sale of alcohol
- Staying up to date with industry trends and developments
- Developing relationships with wine makers and other suppliers
- 2+ years previous experience in a similar role in a fast paced environment
- Exceptional service skills and be committed to providing outstanding wine service
- Good communication and selling skills
- Excellent knowledge of wine and food pairing
- Enthusiasm for staff training and development
- An understanding of stock management and stock take
- Relevant qualifications from Court of Master Sommeliers or WSET 3 is a requirement of the position
- A willingness to work as part of a team
- Ensure responsible service of alcohol
- Hold a valid NSW RSA
- Ability and flexibility to work evenings and weekends

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
