Local Government Organisation seeking an experienced Building Certifier for a permanent position

**Your new company**
This local government run organisation offers a structured, stable workplace with a supportive team working from a small site in Esk. Due to several internal moves, they are looking for an experienced Building Certifier to join the team.

**Your new role**
You will be working as part of Council’s Operational team to supervise and lead the Building and Plumbing. Your daily duties will include but are not limited to:

- Supervise and lead the Building and Plumbing sectors to achieve outcomes in a timely and effective manner
- Assist with the implementation of Council’s policies, OHS regulations and other requirements under the relevant Acts
- Undertake general inspections and complete building audits to determine compliance with the relevant laws

**What you'll need to succeed**
You will have previous experience working as a Building Certifier. As an experienced Building Certifier, you will have:

- Demonstrated experience in a similar role, across the commercial or industrial construction sector
- Hold Qualifications and accreditations as set under the Building Act 2975 to carry out duties of a Building Surveyor
- Hold a current Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) as a Building Certifier (Level 1, 2 or 3)
- A Construction White Card
- Hold a current Open Drivers Licence (unrestricted)
- Have the ability to obtain a current Police check
- Strong Microsoft Office software skills
- Strong written & verbal communication
- Strong time management & organisational skills
