**The role**

As the Financial Assurance Officer, you’ll be a key player in the Assurance and Controls team, providing high-level support and coordinating activities to deliver governance and control objectives. You'll prepare communications to document financial assurance from stakeholders and support continuous review and improvement of the Department's internal financial controls.

You'll be challenged with juggling multiple projects and administrative tasks with tight deadlines and working with diverse contributors. Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be crucial, as will exercising diplomacy when liaising with senior officials and executive managers to meet mandatory timelines.

**What you will bring to the role**
- High level administrative skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and competing demands.
- Solid time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with diverse stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
- Capable of driving outcomes while effectively involving stakeholders throughout the process, fostering collaboration and buy-in.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel, to manage data, create reports, and support financial assurance activities.

**What is an essential requirement**:

- Tertiary qualification/s in Commerce, Business or similar field from a recognised institution and/or relevant industry experience.
- Strong Microsoft suite skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, One-Note
