Maintenance Supervisor

Dowell Windows has an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor to manage the day-to-day maintenance of the equipment on-site. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team, overseeing the repair works for machinery and equipment and focusing on providing quality standard works to promote a safe workplace for all employees.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Supervising Maintenance Technician to carry out service work and repairs on site
- Evaluating and performing breakdown repairs in a timely manner
- Training team to troubleshoot and identify risks on equipment
- Liaising with different stakeholders of the business
- Promoting safe operating conditions by undertaking preventative maintenance
- Documenting and recording all maintenance activities
- Preparing weekly maintenance schedule to allocate work to the team
- Collaborating with the Operations Manager on skill gaps in the team and initiating improvement plans to lean processes and procedures
- Previous experience in leading a Maintenance team
- Formal trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (preferable)
- Good communicator and able to build rapport
- Good organisational skills
- Out-of-the-box problem-solving and effective decision making
- Ability to motivate and develop team members
- Be respectful and authentic in all dealings
- Willingness to be hands-on and jumps into assisting team members
