**Role Summary**

The Stores and Inventory Supervisor is a hands-on supervisor role responsible to the Senior Manager Regional Supply Chain, for the day-to-day operations of the Bassendean warehouse and other base stores located across Australia. The Stores and Inventory Supervisor is also responsible inbound and outbound logistics, material surveillance, inventory accuracy and supporting maintenance at operational bases. The position will require daily interaction with maintenance, technical records, planners, trade compliance, global logistics, ground transport companies, safety & quality managers, and external auditors as well as frequent intra-state and interstate travel.

Other requirements include working solutions for urgent or specific customer requirements, support to stores staff at operational bases, support to maintenance projects through parts availability, coordination of incoming & outcoming goods and ensuring inventory accuracy at all stores locations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service;
- Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands of the business, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiencies across the stores function across all bases;
- Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed;
- Meet regularly with warehouse members to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention;
- Provide management oversight of the shipping, receiving and stores coordination of materials required for base maintenance and global support requirements;
- Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals;
- Develop effective warehouse operations systems by determining and implementing appropriate product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilisation, inventory management, gate processes, and shipping;
- Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short
- and long-term performance goals;
- Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics;
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations;
- Be actively involved in hiring and training warehouse personnel, as well as ensure the team are current with new and ongoing training and learning competencies;
- Ensure processes and resources are aligned for Receiving/Warehousing/Shipping;
- Adhere to regulatory requirements storage (ESD, shelf live, calibrations, dark room, quarantine, scrap, chemical cages);
- Frequent travel to other bases as required for visits, training or roster coverage.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes:

**Essential***:

- Degree in Logistics/Stores or equivalent within a formal business qualification.
- At least three (3) years’ experience in logistics, inventory control and/or analysis at a supervisory level.
- Strong understanding of supply chain topics and strategies.
- Strong computer skills, high experience in logistics software.
- Strong knowledge of inventory, freight, logistics and/or part analysis.

**Desirable***:

- Experience within the rotary wing industry.
- Knowledge of relevant Material Safety Data procedures.
- Knowledge and Experience in using AMOS software an advantage.
