Fishing Supervisor / Well Intervention Engineer

Location: Perth, W.A

About the role:

The Fishing Supervisor / Well Intervention Engineer will plan, supervise, and be accountable for the execution of WBI (Well Bore Intervention) activities at client sites.

The role will be on a Full Time basis, Monday - Friday and will involve ad-hoc travel to client sites both domestically, and internationally.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide pre-job planning, procedure development, BHAs etc to help facilitate an efficient execution of various well intervention activities
  • Liaise with clients, third party suppliers and Tasman staff on maintenance, preparation, testing, and/or troubleshooting of equipment to ensure all items delivered are fit for purpose
  • Operate Tasman Fishing / Wellbore Intervention equipment at clients sites ensuring adherence to Tasman  procedures, client safety requirements
  • Recommend measures to improve methods, performance, and quality to increase efficiency
  • Accurate and thorough completion of job reports in a timely basis
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and serviced properly between jobs
  • Represent the organization in outside discussions and technical forums and client interactions. Performing  technical analysis: after action reviews, product reviews/comparison, pre-spud or other meetings
  • Temporary stand in for Sales, Operations, or Field Management
  • Special projects, as assigned by Management

Desired Qualifications, Skills & Experience:


• Bachelors Degree in Petroleum Engineering, or equivalent


• Minimum 4 Years Open Hole Fishing & Wellbore Intervention Experience


• Minimum 6 Years Cased Hole Fishing & Wellbore Intervention Experience


• Experience working on both Onshore and Offshore Drilling and Well Services Rigs


• Experience liaising directly with Client Engineer's to plan Fishing & Wellbore Intervention Operations


• Flexible, and able to adapt quickly in a high paced, and stressful environment


• Willingness to travel to client sites on an ad-hoc basis, both domestically and internationally


• Excellent communication skills


• Good working knowledge of MS Office suit, including Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook and Power Point
