Skilled Accounts Payable Specialist required for an immediate start position. 6 months minimum working from home and in the CBD.

**The Company**

The organisation are a friendly and supportive organisation based in the heart of Melbourne's CBD. They will provide initial in office training for this position then offer the choice of working from home or in the office. Very easy to access by public transport if you are travelling from out with the CBD. The company are a mid-sized organisation with a Finance team of 13.

**The Role**

You will work under an AP Supervisor and will support for a minimum of 6 months while a team member is on maternity leave. The position may also extend on depending on internal workload. This position will commence on Monday the 17th of July, so we are ideally looking for someone with immediate availability.

Some typical duties will involve:

- Ensuring compliance with the company's expenditure and approval policies
- Ensure a high level of customer service by effectively building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensuring the maintenance of creditors and new supplier set up and support the Accounts Payable Officer with new supplier requests on a daily basis
- End to end Accounts Payable processing
- Reviewing and data entry of a high volume of invoices
- Preparing payment listings and loading bank payments for the authorised signatories to approve
- Ensure suppliers are paid on time and in line with the company's supplier payment policy
- Tracking statutory rates and utility bills
- Work with Centre Management Office and suppliers to problem solve complex accounts queries
- Sending remittances
- Manage AP related queries and follow up
- Complete supplier statement & open POs reconciliations and follow up on old invoices and credit notes
- Month end processes
- Assist other Accounts Payable Officers and the Financial accounting team with a wide variety of project work when required

This position is moving quickly and is perfect for anyone seeking contract/temp opportunities with a quick start. There is a chance that the position could lead to a longer assignment.

**Your Profile**

You will have a background in accounts payable with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position. The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:

- High volume processing experience
- Able to start immediately
- Happy to commit on an ongoing temporary basis
- Comfortable commuting to the CBD 3 days out of 5
- Prior exposure to ERP systems
- Warm, friendly personality
- Good excel skills
