**About the role**

**To be considered for this role, you will be able to address the following key selection criteria**:

- At least two to three years’ experience delivering information or training in formal and/or informal environments to clients from a CALD background including some informal leadership / mentoring experience; and relevant qualification and/or knowledge to meet course knowledge requirements
- The following requirements are highly desirable:

- A TESOL qualification at AQF 8 or above
- Currently studying a TESOL qualification at AQF 8 or above
- CELTA/DELTA qualified teachers with a minimum of 2+ years of teaching experience
- A current Working With Children Check (Employee)
- Ability to be flexible and able to work in a variety of educational contexts : one-on -one, small or medium sized groups; formal or informal; and with a range of language abilities and people from different cultural backgrounds
- Ability to lead and mentor a group of trainers to achieve positive outcomes
- Ability to think on one's feet is critical and able to keep a level head when busy
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to treat potential program participants with empathy and sensitivity in a medical environment, and to work with clients from a strengths-based approach
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills, including the ability to create effective learning resources
- Demonstrated capacity to respond flexibly to changing program requirements and individual client needs
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- High level of professionalism appropriate to the requirements of the role
- Understanding of settlement issues and sound knowledge of services relevant to newly arrived communities
- Demonstrated ability to maintain good working relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Demonstrated capacity to work independently, be highly accountable, as well as being able to work collaboratively and cooperatively as part of a diverse team in a busy off-site environment
- Sound IT skills and confidence utilising digital resources
- Experience meeting strict program, regulations and standards requirements
- Demonstrated commitment to values of integrity, reliability, teamwork and professionalism consistent with the AMES Australia Vision and Mission
