As we continue to grow, we have an exceptional opportunity for a **National Payroll Manager** to lead all aspects of a large national payroll function and drive a customer centric service. The role will focus on continuous improvement, creating efficiencies and streamline the payroll function, whilst ensuring a high-quality payroll service is delivered to the business to support growth. In addition you will work with relevant business units and functions regarding the end to end payroll compliance from Award, Enterprise Agreements, Time and Attendance, Finance Journals, Audit, Reporting.

Reporting to the Group General Manager Compensation & Benefits, your responsibilities will include:

- Leadership of a large payroll team to deliver end to end payroll for 6,500 plus employees across weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls
- Build a payroll culture that is engaging, provides coaching and development, and ensuring the team have aligned objectives & career development plans in place.
- Streamline and maintain payroll processes and systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including wages, superannuation, leave, incentives, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions, and ensure effective record management processes in place.
- Support the management and interpretation of Enterprise Agreements, and underlying State and Federal Awards (currently over 100 EA’s), and the management of data and rates within the payroll system to enable streamlined updates, and accuracy in payment.
- Support the implementation of the Time and Attendance system, and resulting process change implications for business and payroll team.
- Work across key business and functional areas to ensure payroll inputs and outputs are managed appropriately, and develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders.

**Qualifications**:
To be successful you will have:

- Extensive payroll management experience from large complex and high-volume operational workforce environments
- Proven strength in leading large teams in a payroll function
- Demonstrated capability in driving payroll transformation across process, systems and service
- In depth knowledge of superannuation, leave, tax, enterprise agreements, legislation and related accounting rules
- Proficiency in developing effective relationships with stakeholders and senior executives
- Sound analytical and reporting skills
