As the **Supervisor, Field Service**, you will be responsible for the management of all workshop (repairs) and site service (fibrescope/performance test etc.) based orders. Your goal is to ensure all service jobs are completed on time, at or below cost and at the acceptable level of quality expected from the customer. This position also requires the supervision and training of all Service Technicians in the workshop.
- Initial customer liaison
- Quotation of jobs both field services and workshop repairs
- Raising all necessary BOM and purchase requisitions
- Liaising with suppliers regarding pricing and supply
- On site Fibrescoping and performance testing
- Scheduling of workshop jobs including service and projects
- Ensure workshop supplies are replenished as needed
- Ensure workshop operates in accordance with AS4801 requirements
- Ensure workshop equipment is operational and maintained adequately
- Mechanical Trade certificate (fitter, machining etc.) is required;
- Minimum of 5 years industry experience particularly in a mechanical workshop, particularly in the Pumps Industry or process equipment fields
- Technical or mechanical background;
- Strong troubleshooting skills;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Negotiating skills;
- Time management and organisational skills;
- Ability to work as an integral part of a small team;
- Focused on achieving agreed targets and ability to meet deadlines;
- Willingness to travel as required;
- Self-starter, able to work under time constraints, detail-oriented and ability to multi-task
- Sound understanding of costing/pricing principles and budget requirements;
- Energetic and motivated to exceed customer expectations;
- Computer proficient; and
- Professional and well groomed
- Mining Industry experience advantageous
