**About the role**:
We are looking for a Legal Assistant with Personal injury experience to join our

Personal Injuries department in a mid size law firm.

The legal assistant role involves an exciting cross section of different types of

compensation and administrative litigation, including Commonwealth and Queensland workers’ compensation, PIPA and motor vehicle accident claims.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provision of secretarial support
- Liaising with clients, counsel, Courts, Tribunals and other solicitors
- File management
- Drafting correspondence and documents to be settled by author
- Answering telephone calls and taking messages;
- Drafting briefs to experts and barristers;
- Booking in consultations;
- Organizing Medico-Legal appointments, meetings, mediations and conferences;
- Reviewing disclosure, medical records etc. and preparing file note summaries;
- Taking initial details and requesting documents from enquiries;
- Billing; and
- Requesting Medicare Notice of Past Benefits, taxation documents and Centrelink documents.
