**Position overview**
The National Executive Chambers Manager and Events Coordinator to the Chief Executive Officer and Principal Registrar of the FCFCOA (‘CEO/PR’) provides crucial assistance, support and advice to the CEO/PR to support the exercise of his statutory duties and day-to-day responsibilities across two
extremely busy Courts. Together, the Courts comprise 112 judges; hundreds of legal, social science and related support staff; registries and circuits across 43 locations; and responsibility for around 104,000 filings per year.
The National Executive Coordinator is an integral part of a national operations team, and supports the CEO/PR across the following key areas:
- efficient and effective management of the CEO/PR’s chambers;
- management and coordination of conferences, functions, meeting and key events involving the
- CEO/PR, Senior Court Executives, Registrars, Court Child Experts, Indigenous Family Liaison Officers
- and national operations staff of the Courts;
- coordination of professional education, wellbeing and induction programs for Registrars and staff,
- in collaboration with other key national operations staff; and
- oversight of the coordination and delivery of important projects, including ensuring key deadlines
- are met and outcomes delivered.
**Competencies and Experience**
- Experience working in a professional environment with high level stakeholders, such as a Court, law firm or Government.
- Excellent judgment including exercising highest levels of discretion, planning, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
- A high standard of professional written, oral, and interpersonal communication.
- Excellent initiative and proactive attitude, and proven ability to organise, multitask and deliver results to tight deadlines.
**Selection Criteria**
The successful applicant will need to have:
- Demonstrated high-level organisational skills, including the ability to critically analyse and evaluate large volumes of information, manage competing priorities effectively, and exercise sound judgment in decision-making in a high-pressured environment.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with judges and staff of the Courts, external organisations and members of the public.
- Demonstrated ability to work in an environment requiring utmost tact, diplomacy and discretion.
- Highly developed interpersonal, liaison and negotiation skills, including the ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships with key staff and stakeholders; represent the Courts at a senior level; and influence behaviour and attitudes at all levels.
