The Doss House is hiring a Bar Manager to join our team. Reporting to our Venue Manager, your responsibilities include opening and closing of the venue, staff supervision and training, and shift management all while providing a safe and pleasant environment for both our staff and customers. This is a hands-on role and will require you to be front of house and lead by example and have the ability to maximise profitability that will ensure the success of our new venue.

**About the Venue**

Located in the historic heart of The Rocks & on the footstep of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The Doss House is an award-winning heritage underground whiskey bar with a stylish vintage interior allowing you to easily feel transported back to another time. Our focus is on our guests, we guarantee friendly service, a high-quality product, a beautiful atmosphere and overall, a memorable experience.

**Responsibilities**
- Overseeing the daily running of the bar - service focused
- Motivating and driving a team to exceed their targets through product knowledge, upselling and goal setting
- Have a creative input to the design of new cocktail menu’s and promotions
- Ensure high quality presentation of the venue, staff and products
- Commitment and passion for providing exceptional customer service
- Sound communication skills to liaise with guests at all levels
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation regarding service of alcohol and licensing

**Required**
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
- Have a keen attention to detail
- Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills
- Be self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Have the ability to work in fast paced, high pressure environment
- Ability to develop strong customer and colleague relations
- Strong understanding of POS/ reconciling systems and processes

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
