If you are interested in working on some of the world’s most exciting projects, with some of the world’s leading businesses, we’d love to hear from you. We are looking for someone who is up for the challenge of developing procurement and delivery strategies for major infrastructure projects, and managing the commercial relationships with contractors to drive best-for-project outcomes. With our clients and projects this comes down to more than just running tenders and administering contracts though: we want people who can find, engage, manage, motivate and enable the best suppliers and contractors to deliver what’s needed for our client projects.

In addition, this particular role will be the lead for our Procurement & Contract Services business in NSW, offering the opportunity to grow and lead a team, and develop a long-term career with Turner & Townsend.

**Job Description**:

- Provide a leading role and/or build teams in client organisations, managing the procurement of multi-billion-dollar packages on mega construction projects.

- Lead contract formation, contract administration, contract negotiations and claims management activities.
- Interfacing with the client and other consultants at all project stages.
- Advise clients on optimal procurement strategies, processes and policy approaches, including driving strategic, operational and technical diagnoses of the client needs.
- Helping the team grow through business development with our existing clients, including (in collaboration with our Procurement Director), contributing to the business success of the Organisation by assisting in the areas of submissions, fee bidding, and financial management and reporting, budgeting, and business planning.
- Support our client’s senior management in improving their capacity to develop and deliver major projects and programs efficiently and effectively.
- Be the lead for our Procurement & Contract Services business in NSW

**Qualifications**:

- Professionally qualified in one of the following fields: construction, cost management, engineering, procurement or project management.
- Procurement/Contract/Commercial Management experience preferably gained within infrastructure or resources-sector projects.
- A strong and demonstrable experience in providing procurement and contract administration advice and an ability to manage and report directly into senior stakeholder groups at both project and programme level.
- Business development experience or aptitude is a preference.
- Experience of working within a client-focussed consultancy environment is desirable.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff at all levels
- Excellent verbal and written English with excellent report writing skills.
- Strong time management skills, quick thinking and resilience to deal with a fast paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
- Comfortable both leading teams, and providing hands-on delivery in projects.
- Proactively takes strategic ideas and opportunities to our clients, and identifies new services that could add value
