JHCH stands out as one of the premier tertiary children’s hospitals in New South Wales (NSW), delivering exceptional patient and family-centred care to children throughout the Hunter New England (HNE) region and the northern parts of NSW. Known for its comprehensive range of specialised services, the hospital is instrumental in addressing complex medical needs with a compassionate approach. Within its diverse departments, including J1 Paediatric Oncology and Surgery, H1 Paediatric Medical, and J2 Adolescents, Assistants in Nursing play a crucial role.

**About you**:

- You are a dedicated undergraduate Registered Nurse with a completed first year of your Bachelor of Nursing degree, eagerly transitioning into your second year in 2024.
- You possess a strong passion for paediatrics and are actively seeking opportunities to specialize in this field post-registration.
- You have a solid understanding of family-centred care and are aware of the challenges involved in supporting children and their families
