**OVERVIEW**

Allship Engineering is seeking a Trade Asisstant for our small team working on Navy ships in Sydney. This role is for an all-rounder who is willing to perform a variety of roles.

Primary work location is Potts Point, NSW.

Rate of pay is dependent upon skills, experience, and certifications held.

Allship undertake a 4-day work routine, Mon-Thu 0630-1630.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Act as a Fire Sentry
- Act as a Confined Space Sentry
- Support tradespeople with general labour assistance with fitting and fabrication tasks
- Perform basic rigging & dogging tasks as directed
- Develop an understanding of work site procedures and permits
- Operate machinery equipment and tools under the supervision of qualified tradespeople
- Read and understand Task Packs, inclusive of Inspection Test Plans and Safe Work Method Statement’s.

**SKILLS**
- Ability to read, understand and follow processes
- Physical ability to lift and carry tool bags, climb ladders and stairwells.

**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA**

The following licence's & qualifications are mandatory prior to commencing work:

- Construction White Card
- Provisional drivers’ licence or higher
- CPPFES2005A - Demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment (HWS)
- RIIWHS202E - Enter and Work in Confined Spaces (CS)
- RIIWHS204E - Work Safely at Heights (WAH).

**DESIRABLE CRITERIA**
- CPCCLRG3001 - Licence to perform rigging basic level
- CPCCLDG3001 Licence to perform dogging
- TLILIC0005 - Licence to operate a boom-type Elevating Work Platform (EWP)
- TLILIC0003 - Licence to Operate a Forklift Truck (LF).

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 38 per week
