**Network Technology Manager**

**The position**:
The role is to manage and provide technical leadership of the Network Technology Team, who are continually shaping and developing how we facilitate and support the enterprise and customer networks for this organisation

The Network Technology Team are responsible for the delivery and operation of high quality, reliable, and secured network connectivity.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage a team of highly skilled Network Engineers, specialising in different networking technologies and skills
- Be involved in the design and implementation of projects by leading the team into exciting technology changes and provide valuable operational and SME knowledge of the network environments
- Liaise between the customer, stakeholders and infrastructure to provide innovative solutions for all customers, internally and externally
- Build and own the network knowledge base and procedural documentation
- Management of network infrastructure including monitoring and capacity planning
- Continually improve visibility of the network functions by leading incident responses and communicating the achievements of the team

**Key skills & experience**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a network infrastructure leadership position
- Extensive experience working in network routing technologies (Static/RIP/OSPF/BGP)
- Experience working on F5 technologies (LTM, GTM, APM and ASM)
- Experience working with firewall devices and network security
- Experience in designing large scale networks
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills
- Extensive experience working with mission critical networks
- Understanding of monitoring tools and developed metrics for network performance management
- Knowledge of Arista, Cisco, Cumulus and Cloud (GCP, AWS, ) networking technologies
- EVPN, VXLAN, VRF, MPLS, NAT, QoS and VPN knowledge

**A bonus if you possess this**:

- Knowledge and experience in trading or financial network environments
- Tertiary degree in computer science/engineering/telecommunications
- Vendor certifications CCNP / CCIE, F5, Palo Alto, GCP, AWS,
- Knowledge of server operating systems - Windows / Linux
- Scripting skills, g. Python, PERL, etc.
- Experience working with Layer 1 and optical network technologies
