We are an established clinic within the Ipswich CBD, offering fantastic benefits to all staff members including paid external supervision (with a supervisor of your choice), paid professional memberships and registrations, generous professional development leave and budget, car parking and technology. We have low billable hours, and support system to allow clinicians and assistants to do what they do best - work with the clients and their families.
Kids at Play Therapy Services is located in Ipswich only 30 minutes from Brisbane and has been operating for over 10 years, with a true multidisciplinary therapy practice. We offer both in clinic and community visits to support our clients and families to meet their goals, with our clientele ranging from approximately 0-18 years of age. Our team is passionate about what they do and believe in a play and strengths based focus for achieving client’s outcomes. You will work alongside other Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Music Therapists and Early Intervention Specialists and their Allied Health Aides in a supportive multidisciplinary team environment. The clinic is owner-operated by two of the clinicians with a focus on client journey, clinician development, and providing a supportive and well resourced practice to provide the best outcomes for clients and their families.
Kids at Play Therapy Services has a key focus on staff wellbeing and ensuring that staff are supported with wellbeing programs implemented and additional support accessible to all staff. We also have a therapy dog named Rosie and a saltwater fish tank which provides a wonderful and inviting space for everyone.
About the role
- This role will primary focus on Allied Health Assistant of Speech Therapy and would best suit a person with this skill set.
- You will be responsible for providing direct and indirect intervention with the support of a supervising clinician, liaising with families, teachers, professionals and support staff.
- You will be working within our Multidisciplinary Team that provides frequent opportunities for collaboration, ongoing professional learning and case discussion, in a fun, friendly and welcoming working environment.
- The position will involve a combination of work within our modern well-resourced offices, visiting clients in their schools or place of learning and within clients homes and in the wider community.
- Full administration support is provided to Allied Health Assistants including bookings, confirmation of appointments and billing.

Qualifications & experience
- Studying Bachelor of Speech Pathology or Master of Speech Pathology OR Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistant (Speech Pathology)
- Current Blue Card and Criminal History Check.
- Experience with working with clients in the Paediatric field with clients and families with a Developmental Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Mental Health Conditions.
