**Your responsibilities**
- Communicate the scope and purpose of releases, environment refreshes, release schedules, release status, and escalation of issues and risks, while ensuring that the quality and integrity of releases are maintained.
- Plan and facilitate release activities across development and testing, ensuring quality and timely deployments across all environments.
- Assist in managing interdependencies to ensure milestone adherence, and ensure the integrity of releases, which can be measured.
- Maintain consistency of releases across sandbox environments, testing and external test environments.
- Define and manage technical change control processes for release readiness criteria, including completing all implementation readiness artefacts and ensure all changes meet readiness criteria prior to deployment
- Drive continuous improvement in the release process
- Coordination, release management and packaging across the CHESS projectCommunication with vendors and internal delivery teams for the and packaging of releases.

**Your experience and qualifications**

**Must have**
- Experience working in large, critical infrastructure projects
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in planning, scheduling, testing, deploying, and controlling software releases.
- Experience and knowledge of release management principles, methodologies and tools.
- Expertise should cover Release Management across a range of environments from legacy on-prem environments through to contemporary container-based Cloud workloads.
- Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle, continuous delivery/continuous integration (CI/CD) principals.
- Experience with software version control, branching strategy and dependency management.
- Help streamline the release strategy for the Engineering group, building towards a single monthly release for the team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Architecture, Information Security, Finance, Risk, Compliance, QE&T.
- Build out comprehensive KPIs, metrics, and SLAs to measure, performance and success rates of Releases,
- Manage knowledgebase of standards, training material, etc.
- Identify opportunities for cloud efficiency enhancements across the organization
- Experience in highly regulated financial environments.
- Worked in a cross-functional, agile delivery team
- Comfortable presenting at various forums and to senior stakeholders.

- Passionate about Release Engineering
- Understand challenges and trade-offs building, deploying, and running solutions in different environments.
- Understanding of cloud-native frameworks and landscapes
